Details: Join us for a conversation with presidential historian Alexis Coe, author of You Never Forget Your First,New York Times bestselling biography of George Washington. Coe, the first woman to write a biography on Washington in over a century, has been praised for her "important intervention" (NYT) in presidential history. Coe is also a fellow at New America, where she's thinking about the presidency ahead of America's 250th, and writing a new book about young John F. Kennedy. Her first book, the critically acclaimed Alice+Freda Forever: A Murder in Memphis, has been optioned. She is a frequent guest on CNN, NPR, and other outlets, and has written for most major publications. 

Alexis Coe is a Presidential historian, fellow at New America, and New York Times bestselling author of Young Jack: John F. Kennedy, 1917-1957 (2025), You Never Forget Your First: A Biography of George Washington (2020), and Alice+Freda Forever: A Murder in Memphis (2014).
