Colonel Peter W. Doty is the Deputy Director, Hostage Recovery Fusion Cell, Washington, DC. He previously was the Director, Office of International Security Operations, Bureau of Political-Military Affairs, U.S. Department of State. A career U.S. Air Force officer, Col. Doty received his commission from the United States Air Force Academy in May 1992. He has served as an instructor and evaluator pilot in the UH1N, MH-53J/M and Mi-8/17 helicopters. Col. Doty has operational experience in Europe and Africa as well as combat tours in Operations Southern Watch, Allied Force, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom. He served as an assignment officer at the Air Force Personnel Center and Air Staff, as well as Deputy Commander and Vice Director of the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency. Col. Doty commanded the 316th Operations Support Squadron, Andrews AFB, MD and the 438th Air Expeditionary Advisory Group, Kabul, Afghanistan.
